Your rural house in the lands of the Ebro in Priorat Experience
Welcome to Priorat Experiència, a meeting point in the quiet town of Masroig, where you can live a unique experience in a rural house in Tarragona, in the Priorat region. Choose between Maysou, our rural house in the Priorat or the Beth apartments, for a few days of peace and tranquility or adventure.
What you can do in the Priorat or visit from our rural house
The Priorat is a county located in the province of Tarragona, in the autonomous community of Catalonia. Known for its stunning landscapes, vines and high quality wine. Within the region we find El Masroig where we have the rural house, a lovely place to visit. If you decide to spend a few days on holiday, we leave you a short list of activities and places that you can enjoy around the town.
They start with the obligatory visit to Celler del Masroig. Here you can try wine from the region, have a taste and buy the best Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the world. The Celler is located in the village itself and can be reached on foot from the rural house. If you want to have more contact with nature, we suggest you do a simple route by bike, which can also be done on foot.
The bike route: El Mas-roig - El Molar - El Lloar
A beautiful route through the Priorat region full of banks with vineyards and licorice. The Serra de la Cresta and its cobbled paths should be highlighted. Small towns such as El Molar or El Lloar and the Riu Montsant which is almost full of water with the recent rains. Don't miss visiting the chapel of the M.D. of the Pinyeres so venerated in Masroig. The complete route with mountain bike is about 25 km, but you have the short option to go on foot.
Excursion on foot to the hermitage of Pinyeres
If what you want to do is a walking excursion, we recommend taking the path to the hermitage of Pinyeres. An excursion of about 30 minutes (40 if you go with children) along a path with a lot of asphalt. Here you can have lunch and spend the day, taking a flight along the surrounding paths. From the hermitage you have good views and about 5 minutes away a small stream, where you can soak your feet, even enjoy a small bath if you like cold water.

Visits to wineries: You can learn about the winemaking process, taste different varieties and enjoy the beauty of the vines.
Visit to the Montsant Natural Park: This natural park offers opportunities for hiking, climbing and exploring amidst rocky landscapes and mountains.
Getaway to Siurana: The Priorat includes the beautiful village of Siurana, a charming village perched on top of a cliff.
Siurana Reservoir Getaway: The Siurana Reservoir is a popular place for water activities such as kayaking and swimming.
Historical and cultural heritage: The Priorat has a rich historical and cultural heritage. You can visit places like the Monastery of Scala Dei.
